Nik Aziz says he’ll never forgive reporters who pit him against others
KOTA BARU: Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said he will never forgive journalists who pit him against others saying that those involved would never go to heaven.
The PAS spiritual adviser, who sounded sore over the barrage of newspaper reports on his botched Haj pilgrimage trip, his deposed son-in-law Abdul Ariffahmi Abdul Rahman and the purported resignation of his protege Datuk Husam Musa, added that such journalists were only interested to run down his honour and dignity.
“Journalists can write anything they like but if they were to ask for my forgiveness it is okay if I forgive them but if I refuse to accept their apology they will suffer in their graves,” he told reporters after attending a marriage ceremony in Panchor here yesterday.
Nik Abdul Aziz also defended his action to ask the people of Kelantan to pray for the demise of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak if he had bad intentions to deny the people of the oil royalty.
“I cannot see anything wrong with my actions if Datuk (Seri) Najib Tun Razak has bad intention to deny the people of Kelantan what is rightfully theirs.
“I had asked the people to pray to remove such bad intentions from the Prime Minister and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that,” he added.
He also said that he was willing to confront any Ulama who had criticized him for his remarks on Najib.
Nik Abdul Aziz said it was perfectly all right to ask God to defend oneself from cruel people adding that even Prophet Mohamad had prayed to God to defend himself from tyranny.
“When I do something I have my arguments and I don’t do anything without any foundation,” he added.
